The Root of My obsession with Strategy + Some Strategy Notes
Whenever I am engaged with something, whether that be washing the dishes, doing homework, or more obviously, playing chess. I first like to understand the strategical undertones of the game.
I remember being obsessed with Lord of the rings during my youth and although there wasn't any form of "real" strategical implications being involved, it still got me hooked on strategical warfare which in turn got me into seeking ways to apply strategy in this modern, civilized world; outside of course, business.
For example, one of my all-time favorite games to play is Balatro, and for those who have played it, you understand that it mostly relies on luck (or rng), but the game allows you to manipulate that luck by giving you a shop where you can purchase "jokers", allowing you to come up with a "strategy" to beat the game.
"Technique" can also monogamously be used to describe Strategy. One example is when I was learning how to ride a bike. I got frustrated from failing so many times, and I was frustrated not because I was failing, but because I hadn't yet come up with a technique on how to ride the bike.
Eventually, it clicked with me, and it because one of the most satisfying things I have ever done,By figuring out the "Technique" or "Method", or even "Plan" is the backbone and concept of strategy .
And THAT, is exactly what I want to share with you.
